Episode Transcript/Quiz

Intro

OK, step away from second breakfast. Or is it Elevensies? Anyway, it’s time to head to Middle Earth, fight some orcs, destroy the ring, and get home before Merry and Pippen eat all the provisions.

Hey there, I’m your host Brian Rollins and this is the Dorky Geeky Nerdy trivia podcast. Every week, we bring you three rounds of ten questions on a given topic. Each round will get successively harder. This week, our topic is The Lord of the Rings. We’ll be covering both the original books and the movies, so expect questions from both.

If you want some rules to play by, you can find some at dorkygeekynerdy.com/rules. If you or your group came up with your own set of rules, send them in to us. We’d love to share them with all the listeners.

Outro

And now our tale is told. Time to sail off into the West.

Well, not literally. I mean, I kind of hope we all have plenty more time to spend in Middle-Earth. I know the Lord of the Rings is a beloved tale and I hope you enjoyed this week’s episode. For next week, we’re going to be doing something a little different. But here’s the clue:

“What director, producer, and writer gave us such memorable lines as ‘I swear by pretty floral hat, I will end you.’ and ‘If the apocalypse comes, beep me!’”

The format next will be a little different, but it’ll still be 30 questions to challenge you. I’m Brian Rollins, your host and writer. This has been Dorky Geeky Nerdy. Thanks for listening.

The Hobbit is definitely on our To-Do list. Maybe some Silmarillion later on as well. It’s definitely a deep well to plumb.
