Howdy partners. Welcome to the Dorky Geeky Nerdy Trivia podcast. This is episode 166 and I’m your host, Brian Rollins. We’re continuing our little tour through the US with a stop down at the southern tip of the continental United States, Texas.

Two. The western tip, including El Paso, is in the Mountain time zone. The bulk of the state is in the Central time zone.

Lyndon Johnson and Dwight Eisenhower. Despite being governor and living in Texas, George W Bush was not born there.

Four. New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and (in the NE corner), Arkansas.

4. What is the largest ranch in the US?

The King Ranch. It’s over 825,000 acres and bigger than Rhode Island.

5. What city is known as the 'Live Music Capital of the World'?

Austin, Texas

6. Of the six flags that have flown over Texas, which two represent nations that no longer exist?

The Republic of Texas and the Confederate States of America

7. The phrase, 'Don't Mess With Texas' was coined to combat what?
