Episode Introduction

They might be gone from the Olympics, but they aren’t forgotten. For our final Olympics trivia episode, I have ten events that have been retired from the games. Some are unusual and some are just archaic. But they were once Olympic events.

I’m your host, Brian Rollins, this is the Dorky Geeky Nerdy Trivia Podcasts, and let’s go.

Retired Olympic Events Trivia Questions

  9. What sport, played by Alice and the Red Queen, made its first, and only, Olympic appearance in Paris in 1900?
    a. Croquet
  10. The high jump and long jump in what sport were held in 1900 and only that year?
    a. Equestrian events.

Episode Conclusion

And we are done with Olympics Trivia. What did you think? Should some of these events come back? Frankly, I’m surprised cricket hasn’t been re-introduced to the games. Maybe if India hosts the games in the future, it’ll make it back.

What event do you think should make a comeback? What event should be added to the games. I’m all ears on social media. See you back here for our regularly scheduled episode on Wednesday.
